Realtek Audio Manager Does Not Show Advanced Settings, Mic

    Hello Dear Friends,

I have Asus All In One ET2701INKI, the problem is the microphone does not work properly, It has dense distortion and echo, microphone works in other devices very well,

I read many topics in many forums and I tried so many things but there is no solution,

I am using Windows Pro 64 Bit, and I have latest Realtek Driver, I have tried High Definiton Audio but again no solution,

I have read that if I choose "Separate all input jacks as independent input devices" from Realtek Audio Manager's Advenced Settings, I am sure the problem will be solved, but I do not have Advanced Setings,

    I have only;
    Display Icon Notification Window
    Enable Auto Pop Up Icon

    Nothing more,

    Hope to hear good news,

I have an ASUS motherboard and I installed both the latest driver from the ASUS downloads for my motherboard and the drivers from the RealTek site. Both are identical.

Here is my RealTek manager screens:

Some functions are part of whatever the particular vendor enables. The "All in one" PC's such as you have are basically laptop hardware with a larger screen.

What type of mic are you using? An analog or USB?

Analog Microphone but i cannot see them seperately with Realtek drivers, when i activate only High Definition Drivers, i can see everything seperately, but there is no Realtek Device Manager Screen, but when i setup Realtek drivers i can see Manager Screen with limited options and no seperation, so microphone always works with heavy distortion and low sound

The HD Audio Codec drivers are only the Windows generic basic function drivers.

With RealTek drivers, do you have the Stereo Mix (and have it set as default recording device)? The Stereo Mix has options for recording levels and to disable sound enhancements. That MAY take care of your problems. Go to the Hardware and Sound/Sound Panel Recording Section. If the Stereo Mix is show, enable it and make it the default recording device. If it is not shown, RIGHT click in a blank area in that panel and then click to Show Disabled and Disconnected Device. If the Stereo Mix now shows , enable it.

Also, do not have both the RealTek and the HD Audio Codec enabled at the same time as they can conflict and cause many problems. If you are going to use the RealTek then uninstall the HD Audio Codec in the Device Manager.

One other thought, as you basically have a "laptop" some of the functions I have such as rear jack assignment would not be applicable to a laptop and thus would not be displayed.

I tried it but echo goes worst and i cannot hear my voice, and the problem is when i try to talk with microphone, both microphones starts to run and i cannot disable the internal one

Oh, so the internal microphone is not being disabled when you use an external one. Do you happen to have Skype or something similar enabled? That uses the internal microphone.

I'm a fan of downloading the Realtek HD Audio driver from Realtek's site, but once in a while (depending on the actual hardware itself) - it's best to install the driver from the machine's manufacturer - they sometimes customize the driver to fit the needs of the machine when it needs it.

Give ASUS' site a try with the driver they offer.

Alternatively, if you've already done that, try installing the driver from Realtek's site.

In any case, try messing about with settings as shown in the screenshot below. To get to it, right click the speaker icon in the notification area near the clock, choose recording devices. See if unchecking "listen to this device" and saving helps, if it is currently checked.

There are other tabs to set the levels and boost of the microphone. Have a look around. Also make sure no enhancements are currently active.

What's happening to you is a loop. Gotta try to avoid it and you'll be good.

Heh, the screenshot is from my "family" machine downstairs. My main machine upstairs has a sick MOTU Traveler interface for studio use. It's awesome the fullest!
