ape FILES TO flac - ANYBODY - free SOFTWARE Solved
Hi there
just tidying up some multi-media (audio) files and I notice I have a load of APE+CUE files as CD images -- any software to convert these to FLAC - the only thing I know that plays APE is VLC media player (it seems to handle EVERYTHING!!!) but I would like to store all my music as FLAC - that's what I have already -- I don't like proprietary formats either so any ideas here.
Somebody did mention to me the FREE version of Media Monkey -- anybody out there - is this worth downloading and using for this job.
I've about 500 CD images I need to convert). Does it also work on W8.1 --I've XP and W7 Virtual machine though if it doesn't work on W8.1.
Actually found a BETTER piece of software - does the FLAC conversion and the track labelling automatically -- CUETOOLS (and it's FREEWARE).
CUETools Download - CUETools wiki
scroll down the wiki for the download
screenshot of a typical conversion
Thanks
Cheers
