    Two things you can check.
    1. Enabled
    2. Front Panel Levels

Does that mean that I would have to remove the Realtek Audio HD Manager?

Mr. S. and others have been doing a fine job of supporting you throughout this issue so there is very little for me to suggest; however, I did notice you installed that Realtek Audio Manager and I also noticed that your front panel headset option is not displaying either. That tells me that something may have come "coincidentally" loose inside your case. So, have you opened the case to ensure all connections to the front panel header are still secure? If so, I would tentatively recommend that you try uninstalling the Realtek Audio Manager and see if that fixes your issue because I also have the same chipset that could benefit from the R2.71 drivers; however, I decided not to install it because my audio worked perfectly (both front and back) with the drivers found during my Windows 8.1 Pro installation. Here's my screen for comparison:

    Good luck.

OK, just wanted to be sure. Did you try uninstalling the Realtek Audio Manager completely and rebooting to see if your headset port is now being detected?

One more thought, if you trying to configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver. However, if you are using anything less, then maybe you need to set that option to either 5.1 or just stereo (eg two speakers) to see if the front panel ports are now recognized as such.

It just detects the rear sound card. As far as I know the front port uses the AC'97 version of the board that the case originally came with.
I am not sure if this is correct. Normally, there are 2 connectors: AC'97 and HD Audio on the cable for front panel audio. I use the HD Audio Connector for all my PC's so you might want to double check the MB manual whether HD Audio Connector should be used instead.
