[Speakers Advanced Properties] sample rate and bit depth ?

    I have a Genius150 watt 5.1 speaker system Genius
I dont have the realtek driver installed since the sound quality was not satisfying with it so I stayed to the default high definition audio device with stereo configuration.
I have an integrated sound card. This is my motherboard model GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-P61-S3 (rev. 2.0)

I want to know what sample rate and bit depth to choose for best quality playback at advanced speaker properties? The default ones are 16 bit , 44100 cd quality like you can see in the below image
I dont understand what is that shared mode either.

If I install again the realtek driver what should I choose then ?

This is the best quality setting by default; however, you might want to try other settings based on your primary listening experience and do an audible compare:

Here is more on the subject. Good luck.

The "CD Quality" is more than adequate. There are higher modes, but won't really do anything other than make the CPU work harder.

I have a recording studio (I use Sonar) and use 24 bit 44.1Khz for recording, only because it gives me more headroom, but when I mix down, its to 16 bit/44.1Khz.

    Good tip.
Those higher modes are unhearable to the human ear. 44100Hz is already the double of the best 22000Hz a good ear can hear.

If the built in driver works good enough keep it but the realtek one should be better in most cases.

There are some realtek cards that work better if the drivers are installed (on some cards the built in driver may generate static noise in the background, in the speakers, heard when you don't listen to music)
