Bad quality in sound when recording with Fraps

Sound with Fraps: YouTube (if you turn the sound up, the problem is much more noticable)

Sound with Emulator's recording software: YouTube

As you can see, the audio with Fraps feels like it has a bit of distortion to it, and the problem is, while I can record this game without a problem with the emulator's recording system, most games require Fraps or another software.

Thing is, Fraps records Windows sounds, while the emulator only records the game's sounds, so I feel like there's something making this interference in my computer, and yes, my mic is turned off, that's not the problem.

And when I see other people's videos that they record with Fraps they sound just fine, so I feel like changing recording software won't help, I also just updated Fraps to the most recent version.

Also, when playing I hear the game perfectly, without the sound being messed up as it is.

I tried to access the youtube fraps recording and the Emulator recording samples, but it says it is "private".

Recording volume level (too high) can cause distortion or introduce low level noise. I have a recording studio and well aware of recording levels.

Here is what the Fraps site says about distortion:

How can I adjust the volume of the sound that is recorded?
You must configure the volume through the "Sounds and Audio Devices" item in the Control Panel. Use the following steps:

    • Click on the Control Panel and select Sounds And Audio.
    • Click on the Audio tab.
    • Find the Sound Recording device and click Volume.
    • Adjust the volume for the Input that Fraps is recording from. This is usually named "What U Hear", "Record Master", or "Stereo Mixer".

If you can't see the correct Input on screen you may need to enable it by clicking on Properties in the menu and ensuring all Inputs have a check beside their name

Sorry! I had it set to be unlisted when I uploaded, guess they went to private since that's my default upload, also both videos were recorded with the same sound settings - Windows-wise, don't know if the emulator actually has it's own volume settings that are independent from the Windows's settings.

I also can't figure out what to do on the last step. This is the only thing I can find that is close to a sound mixer: imgur: the simple image sharer, sorry if it's painfully obvious, I've digging around in the options and can't find anything :\ I also found this: imgur: the simple image sharer, didn't even know I had this (I guess it came installed by default), no idea what to with it though.

Rather than have your screen shots on a file sharing server, you can take screen shots with the "Snipping Tool" and post them directly to your post. That is the way most users do it here. See This

Here is another example: Saints Row IV - E36 - - YouTube

At around 17:10... I've no idea what to do >_<, messing with the settings of the Stereo Mix - Realtek HD Audio, tried everything, can't get any of them to find this buzz noise.

I ended up downloading Audio Record Wizard, and I test the Stereo Mix to see what kind of sound I'll get, and all I got was this buzz noise even when I wasn't doing anything, I went to Stereo Mix's setting and enabled "hear this device" and tried to record a game, the sound on the game was now fine, but you could obviously hear that buzz noise, I disabled the "hear this device" and the bad game audio was back, any clues?

I'll try to add the sound file in here.
