Hi all when using my computer and streaming netflix, i generally use my HD tv as my video card has audio built in over HDMI and i use it to stream movies to my HD tv ,with netflix app for windows 8. but on some movies the volume is totally Low and i have to crank my tv to here the voice leaving me with very loud music when it comes on. is there a solution to fixing this? i make my TV volume default when i watch netflix. IF anyone has a solution as to how to make it louder would be awesome. I have seen this thing called loudness equalization under enhancements on the HDMI audio would that do it or would it make more noise then do any good?.

Alienware x51 with windows 8 pro and media center.
PNY GTX 660TI video card.
If need any more info let me know.

Hi there. I've noticed this with some movies also. Sorry I don't have a fix, but waiting for an answer also. Really it's a Netflix problem. They should all stream at the same volume.

i totally agree i don't know if enabling that loudness equalization would work or not waiting for feed back before i do it.

i totally agree i don't know if enabling that loudness equalization would work or not waiting for feed back before i do it.

I turn Loudness Equalization on when installing the OS and leave it on all the time. I watch quite a lot of video's on the net and find the sound levels are generally all over the place, some being loud, others being quiet. With Loudness Equalization on, it means the sound level I set is much more stable, so I don't have to keep adjusting the volume levels all the time (and if I do, it's not such a wide range). For me I get on well with it, but the best thing for you to do is try it and see how you get on with it.

The latest Patch Tuesday updates seem to reset this setting to off for some reason and I really noticed it was off. I thought my amp was packing up as the sound levels were all over the place and driving me crazy.

Hi, I'm using Mac so the equalisation tip doesn't do the trick for me but on computer I'm using Google Chrome extension Volume master: Volume Master and since I've installed it I'm just fine.
