So i Just bought i new Mic for my gaming channel. And it doesn't work on my pc. It works on my dads windows 7 but not on mine i can't get my mic to work It Says i have it enabled but i can't But it doesn't pic up any sound at all i really need HELP :(

How about the drivers for sound ? Can you get them from MB manufacturer ? MS drivers are just basic ones and lack programs for fine adjustments.

Try highlighting the microphone & set as default & apply & OK.
Then try the configure button.

If you have Realtek sound chip "64bit_Vista_Win7_Win8_R271" driver works just fine with a lot of features more than basic MS ones.

You Know im getting really annoyed and you tell me it's should be working fine WELL if you hadn't noticed i did this for someone to help me not to tell me something that's not true :/ I made a complaint it not working fine Ok SO :mad:

I followed the tutorial and says to check if mic is muted on the headset so i did and it wasn't then it says to talk into the right mic even though i am! It never changed anything and im getting so :mad: Please Help meh

Looking at one of your pictures , the Realtek High Definition Audio , the bar on the right is showing full green , that is indicating that the microphone port is receiving a signal at max 'volume' , is it ALWAYS showing that even when the microphone isn't plugged in?

I never did ask , is it USB or a jack type ?

Under configure , what does it show on the levels tab?

That is when my mic isn't pluged in ,but my inbuilt mic is on im talking while i took the screen shot. (Laptop)

but when my mic on my headset is pluged in it says the mic is there but never picks any sound it it's not the mic because it works perfectly on my dad's laptop so there is something in the settings :/ and i can't find what it says the mic is there but it dosn't take any sound at all im speaking in both screen shots look at the top again and look at those 2 pictures the last 2
