Driver Fusion, at least what I have, does not include RealTek Sound, just RealTek Network.

The back one works! thank god, ill just buy a cheap speaker today, ill open her up later and see if when i was dusting it out that i didient loosen the audio wire or if unplugging and plugging it back up will work, i thought those connectors on the back were for wires that hook up to the tv..

Make sure the headphone plug is fully inserted if its only partially inserted you will only get one channel.

nope, but what i did notice (ifi it helps) that the blue plug doesnt work then i plugged it into the pink plug nothing, but when i returned to plug it in into the green then there was no more sound, what im considering is a bluetooth speaker, now that i know the sound is working maybe bluetooth will get me my sound unitll i figure this mess out. i aslo opened it up and all i could really do was un plug the leads that connected to the front panel with the audio. im guessing that this is a hardware failure...

The Blue is "Line In", not an output so it wouldn't work. Same way with the Pink one, that is for the Microphone.

Bluetooth has its own problems. A USB may work, but until you get the sound chip working in the PC neither Bluetooth or USB may not work.

Try a different headset, if you have one, even one of the small ear bud type, just to see.

If you go to the Sound panel/Playback section, click on the Speaker icon to highlight it and then click on Configure and you can test the sound there with your headset. "Stereo" (or something similar is what should be selected for the speaker type).

The only other thing is, since you cleaned it out, you could have inadvertently zapped something on the motherboard. I would still call Dell support if its still in warranty. Let them figure it out instead of beating your head against it trying to figure out what is wrong.

You can try uninstalling the RealTek in the Device Manager. When Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. Give it a try. In the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for the RealTek and then LEFT click "uninstall" DO NOT check the box to also uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC.
