    Why is there only one sound scheme on Windows 8, when there are a whole lot on Windows 7

    Welcome to Windows EightForums, techtitan100.

    There is only one sound scheme. You probably don't want to hear this, but there's not a lot of customization in Windows 8 as of yet. It was written to be a lean OS. Perhaps when Blue comes there will be some added.

    There are 3rd party schemes you can install. Search engine "Windows 8 sound schemes" to look for those.
