no sound windows

I have no sound in windows or in personalization nothing from the speakers, volume I set but no sound

You might go to Device Manager and see if there is any sound driver installed.

You should delete the Dell service tag number from your system specs list, Dell considers that personal info. Also, post the actual Dell PC model number (such as Insprion 620, etc).

Has the sound ever worked?

I did a troubleshoot on audio and the answer one driver did not work but I could not find a driver on device manager that did not work how can I check to see if I have all audio drivers. The speakers at times but there is no window sound

We don't know what the model number of your dell is, to be able to determine what sound card it has.

It seems you posted the wrong number in the specs.

I am not quite by sure what you mean by Dell service tag number from system specs. I am not very good at trying to do right. Dell does not seem to find out the problem They have checked it over and over but cannot find an answer. I do not know if there is a driver missing, I did a Dell troubleshooter for audio and they said one was not working. I have a window 8 ie10 660 inspiron which I got the first of March.I checked everything I was capable of doing. I will understand if this reply seems a little useless.

Drivers & Downloads | Dell US

You have drivers for Windows 7 and Windows 8 both 64bit. Choose the one matching.

Go to audio and try those. The Cirrus Logic is recommended, made for Win8 and is very unlikely to fail if you install it right.

You can also provide a screenshot of Device Manager audio drivers or see if there is anything visible.

and tell us if you have any sound or a sound icon available in the notification area (usually in the right of screen corner below).
