Try to reinstall the sound driver:
Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion dv6-6110so Entertainment Notebook PC | HP® Support

If you have upgraded to Win8, the latest BIOS is also recommended.

Update your graphic drivers as well.

Some other drivers can also be updated as well (recommended after upgrade).
All are found in the link above but only Win7 is available for your model. I recommend sound and BIOS from there.

I did fix it, just needed to uninstall all the ATI GPU drivers and programs, than install it on new and reboot the pc.
But yes, the sound card has really low sound. Dont know waht it is, but on Windows 8 the drivers are installed when it is installing.

Good. The sound must be the default driver. Look in device manager for more details, if it doesn't say IDT then it's the generic driver.

See this thread for more info:
http://www.eightforums.com/sound-audio/23155-stereo-mix-also-windows-sound-driver.html

Here on my HP laptops, the IDT driver must be installed (HP site) otherwise I get weird speaker distortions and buzzings. Some other PC's are lucky enough to use the generic drivers.
