I have a PNY Geforce 210 1024gb graphics card Click image for larger versionClick image for larger versionand I am using the hdmi cable to my desktop computer to my Samsung 43" plasma tv. The video works amazingly well but there is no audio from hdmiClick image for larger version. I even have the latest Nvidia driver. I tried everything and the end result was giving up and losing hope

It appears this card does not have HDMI audio built on the video card. It MAY have an S/PDIF port that you connect to an S/PDIF connector on the PC's motherboard for audio. This is common with low end video cards.

Here is what the PNY site says about HDMI audio

Certain model PNY video cards have an SPDIF pass through connection. A supplied audio cable must be plugged into the card and onto the corresponding SPDIF out and ground on the motherboard/sound card. Newer PNY graphics cards have an audio chip that will provide the sound over HDMI, during driver installing an additional audio driver will be installed. in both cases once you are ready to switch your sound to HDMI you will need to open your windows sound settings, for the playback setting, you must select Nvidia HDMI(for a card with the audio chip) or SPDIF/High definition Audio(for cards with SPDIF).

I have a Compaq Presario SR1620NX and the computer model and motherboard is eight years old Compaq Presario SR1620NX Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support and I checked the whole mother board and there's no sign of any SPDIF connecters or pins as the same with the graphics card I did not see anything to do with SPDIF on it. It was made in 2012 so I'm guessing the card just supports video
