Hi Tera,
right click on an mp3 file and select "Open With" then choose a default program from there....

it doesn't work.
Each time I right click a mp3 file and choose Open With...
then select Music while Use this app for all .mp3 files... is checked.

But the next time I double click on a mp3 files windows media player plays the file.

I've also select Music in Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs and clicked
Choose default for this program and checked mp3.
Still Windows media player is associated with mp3 files:rolleyes:

when I right click a mp3 file and select Open with.... I have only windows media player.
But if I select choose default programs.... I have metro music as an option. though selecting it, doesn't change mp3 association.

No problem, we all must account to the distractions of life.
I must ask, do you have full administration rights, if not execute the change as "administrator"

Did you do ONE of them or BOTH ?

You should do both.
I think there is another option.
I'll look into it.

When I open the headphone icon I get XBox music.
Is that the one you want as default?
