Solved Please help no sound!

So..well i had windows vista business 32bit and I did a system restore and the sound didn't work. then i upgraded to windows 8 and the sound still wont work...
I have done almost everything rebooting,refreshing downloading new drivers etc. But when i plug in my speakers windows says ''no speakers or headphones are connected'' and when i go on to playback devices i have 4 options all witch are the same named: Digital Audio (HDMI) and its weird because i don't even have a HDMI port on my computer nothing helps PLEASE!!!!

First suggestion, install the correct sound driver from the PC (or motherboard if its a home built system) vendor. Windows will install a lot of drivers but tends to install the generic HD Audio Codec rather than the correct sound driver.

Your "Speakers" (sound card) should be set as the default Playback device in the Sound Panel.

First of all ''speakers'' doesn't appear in playback devices or in Device manager.
second of all i have tried to install the driver but it does not work i have tried different drivers old ones new ones etc.
when i try to install the soundmax driver i get an error ''sound drivers lack support for computer hardware''
and when i go on ''dxdiag'' on the sound tab theres nothing only this: No soundcards found. If there is one, you should install a sound driver from the hardware manufacturer.

Please list your system spec's. Can't really do much more than guess without it.

One of the most forgotten items in a install or reinstall is the chip-set update and BIOS....you think it would be noted more often
