Hello there.

At first, sorry for my English. I'm polish :)

Ok. Yesterday I installed (again) Windows 8 ad after month since release, I have problems with sound :/
It crackles, skipps, freezes etc :(
As for me it's.. like a horror movie. Because I'm using my new laptop to gaming :/ watching movies and listening to the music.

On Windows 7 everything worked like a charm. I reinstalled all drivers, and everything was ok.
On Windows 8 upgrade or even clean install... it doesn't work :/

Maybe someone already solved this problem?

Did you install the correct sound drivers? The HP sound driver is the preferred driver. This is first step in trying to resolve problem.

Windows usually will install the HD Audio Codec driver and that is not the correct driver.

i get sound working :) I hope so... 3hrs of music, games and vids and it's ok :)
I downloaded latest driver from hp's support forum.

But now I have another problem... with WMP desktop... When I'm using it.. Music is playing but I can't switch it off by pressing X, change song.. Program is freezed, but sound is playing.
I have to kill process Oo
With Metro Music App everything is good.

EDIT: DriverMax & sound driver update solved my problem :)
