Hi there,
I've just updated my rig and currently running windows 8 pro
I am facing a problem where I have two audio source and wanted to change the source in the middle of the PC use
I have a headphone connected to my Asus Xonar Phoebus and a Bose companion speaker connected straight to the USB
When I used windows 7 I was able to go trough on half way of my streaming watch and change the Audio source just by going to the
control panel > sound > and change the default device
But seems like I am unable to do so in windows 8, problem is as I stream from my speaker, and I intended to change to headphone after I do the changing (control panel > sound > and change the default device); no sound coming up on the changed device and I have to reopen my browser; afterwards the sound would appear
The sound would still come up after the change trough simple sound test from the "Sound" option in control panel but not for the streaming
Would it be my windows 8 problem?or my browser (chrome)?
Does anyone have different method to switches audio source? I find my way is long and troublesome

Updated: Try to switching while listening on Itunes, nothing is wrong, guess its chrome ?

It looks like each app is pinned to an audio device. I'm able to switch from laptop speakers to headphones by going into Playback Options (right click on speaker icon on desktop) and changing the default playback device. Sometimes, though, it will recognize when I plug in the headphones and auto-switch.
