    Windows 8 Mic really quiet

    Hey!
I recently got windows 8 64 bit and after installing the audio drivers my mic is very quiet (literally not audible in any program). When I uninstalled the audio drivers it worked again (I have a msi motherboard and got the realtek driver on their website), but not in every program. Skype (I assume skype boosts my mic somehow) worked perfectly and Teamspeak does not. Anyone else having similar issues. I am using a razer carcharias headset.
    Thanks in advance!

Go to your sound options in your Control Panel

    click on the tab recording

Select your mic and click on properties

    Click on the tab 'levels'

In this tab you can crack up the volume of your mic, when this is not enough you can boost it up with the second slider to +30 DB

yeah I know about that, but i never had to do that in win 7. So there has to be another problem and if I boost too much the sound deteriorates. I don't really like that. I can't imagine why there is such a difference in windows 8.

Drivers could be the only thing different right?

So what about reinstalling those? ;3
Try to look into the configuration of the third party audio settings.

yeah the thing is I dont have drivers know and it works ok. My friend has to put me on 100 percent to hear something but we can talk, so I am waiting if I can find a solution before installing the drivers again. ^^
