how to boost mic in windows?

hello, ive just switches to windows 8 and began to use skype here, but my mic is pretty low so i wanted to boost the volume of it like it windows 7, but where do it do this in windows 8?

Hi zetto123, welcome to the forums, right click speaker icon in task bar, click Recording devices, select Recording tab in Sound, right click microphone, you can change boost in Levels tab.

well i can do the normally 1 to 100 volume control.
but i cant boost the mic with 10db like in windows 7

Is not your slider moving or is it not showing up?

i got the normal one but not the boost

Check in Device manager whether you have the same driver for Sound as mine.

Do you have an Enhancements Tab?

It will depend on the manufacturer and the drivers as to what options are available.
Mine is just the default Microsoft HD Audio Device drivers. I did not install any Intel drivers.

i havn't installed anything speciel. and nope i dont got enhancements tab.
