no background sound?

Is there an option I am missing but whenever I leave one enviorment and go to another the sounds stop. For example I have a video playing in Chrome. This Chrome I got to buy opening it up via the tile system. I use office 2010 outlook for email. When I go to it or hit start the sounds stop. Happens with iheart radio to. Didnt use to do this but I had to do a refresh and now its doing it.

exact same problem, I am not using chrome, just sticking with the ie10 for integration reasons right now, but yes if you are in a web application and you click start the audio stops its quite annoying. I find if you then click on a tile you can come right back (as long as your audio webpage is attached to the side bar) but still have not found a way around this. Mine has done it from the get go so not sure how you didn't have the issue before

ug I dunno why it changed for me then lol it was working awesome earlier now if I switch the music or video is gone ug

okay just tried iheart again and now I am typin this and its working fine ugg what the heck. I hit start earlier and ihearts stopped sounds and now I hit start and it continues to play but videos in the browser arent still playing if I navigate out of the browser window. Hope they fix it.

yes I was listening to a stream of a radio show this morning and even if I had that window open on the sidebar, it would stop streaming.... there's a few bugs to be worked out

while im tabbing around the browser its fine but as soon as you goto start or try to load another app, sound gone... there needs to be some kind of override button added to settings, like where you want your primary audio to come from and it should definitely continue to the desktop (metro tile screen)

I wish they would have made it more semless transition from metro to desktop. They feel so different that they could be worst enemies.
