I'm using W8 on the machine I have hooked up to my TV. I like the look and feel of W8 a lot (on a big flat screen TV) but I'm having some n00b issues and I can't seem to Google or search to find the answers.
For example, I have a NAS with movies and when I open more than one movie at a time, both stay open. When I go back to the Metro screen both movies scroll through the Video tile. I know W8 shuts that down and closes the process after a certain amount of time but is there a way to either clear that history or cancel the task manually?
If I am watching an adult movie (I don't mean porn I mean rated PG-13 or R) I don't want kids to be able to pick up the keyboard and start watching a rated R movie just because it's still on the Video tile icon.
It's a pain in the rear-end but I could use Active Directory and create an account for the kids and an account for adults and then be forced to log off or switch users each time we leave the TV - but ideally the TV computer would just be one account and login and I can control what the Metro tile history shows and is. Likewise, if I'm reading news articles or have news up on one of the tiles and it's graphic is there any way to clear that off when I'm done so that little one's don't see scrolling links to potentially graphic news articles? I'm talking about simple CNN articles, nothing crazy, just simply want to be able to clear the tiles out when desired.
Thx.
