Yes, it will show thumbnails if you want it to. It defaults to large that can be zoomed in or out. The picture quality is quite good.
Thank You Dwarf for pointing that out.

If someone is interested in rotating or editing photos, the desktop is the place to be, not in metroland.

That is a thought that always come to my mind when seeing post that ones troubled with metro apps functionality, then "Back to desktop apps"
It's nice viewing family photos through 1920x1080 big screen while reclining on the sofa. But when suddenly come to some that haven't been properly rotated, drag down the app, running desktop app, rotate, and save it.
The question here, continue viewing with desktop app or back to metro photo app?

    No answer is needed actually

I guess you're not a fan either. I don't care one way or another. It's no biggy for me to edit stuff, resize, rotate, save and paste. Doesn't matter where, doesn't matter when. But anyway, I was trying to be accommodating to the "metro is useless" community.
Well, here it is, version 1. Rotate your photos in metro.

Well you have the answer. I don't mind if anyone put me into both haters or fans. Live is too good to be shrunk into Metro controversy

    Which one of these anyway?

It's in the Photo section of the store (free)

It does not do a lot, but if you look at the download file size >

Thanks. Will do some slip office hour and see how it works.

    Edit:
Did a snap few seconds it's not there. Different country with different apps?
But I will check any other of it that have the widest features.

Now I come to realize that those offered apps in the store are not globally available. IMO, MS let its availability are organized locally. I see many of the apps are in local language and priced in local currency.
    Another smart commercial move.

I also notice that MS Store recorded all apps that I installed to my three machines that running Win 8.
    See this,

My question is, if I in the future happen to install paid apps, will I be able to reinstall it freely if I reinstall windows?

    Hello Kevin,

Yes, you will be able to reinstall your purchased or downloaded apps from the Store like that. They are part of your Microsoft account. OPTION ONE in the tutorial below can help show you more on this if you like.
