Solved Photo app not displaying library

The photo app is not displaying any library or file. Whenever I open any picture it opens in the PHOTO app but there is no next or previous feature.
That's why I tried to include that folder (from which I want to see the photos) in my picture library.
I included the folder into the picture library by right clicking on the folder and selecting the INCLUDE IN LIBRARY option and then PICTURES and the folder get included in it. I checked it manually.
But the photo app is still not showing any single thing.
its only written there
IT'S LONELY IN HERE WITHOUT PHOTOS.
please help me???

I have exactly same issue.

I have updated my win from vista to seven and now from seven to 8. Dont know if there is some weird leftovers from vista??? I event went to a shop to see how libraries was configured and all seemed similar.

Anyone...?

Hi I have the same problem as you have you solved it yet ??? The Metro Photo App just tell me that my photos are hidden ?

I'm having the same issue... and a full year has passed. Does someone have any suggestions?

FYI: the files are on a windows server 2012 machine. I also have included the networked music and videos folder in the libararies and the two apps don't have any problems like the photo app (although the videos app doesn't recognise the folder structure).

Somehow, the Metro UI on my computer lost the ability to see or open any photo files. Photos app only loads videos. Tried every fix I can find but nothing works. Everything works fine with all my desktop applications, just the stupid Metro UI that cannot see any photos on my hard drive. Does see Facebook photos. Tried recreating Libraries, moving photo to another folder and then back. Anyone have any suggestions? It is the second time this has happened, the first time I had to reload Windows. I do not want to do this a second time. Better to stay with the desktop applications.
