Anyone try OneNote MX?

I've never used OneNote before. But I'm intrigued by the MX version recently released on the Windows Store. It is a distinct separate version the the desktop version bundled with the Office 2013 Preview. The MX version of OneNote is a true Metro UI app.

I've long known OneNote has had features especially for tablets. Handwriting recognition is the one feature that interests me the most. Strange enough, the handwriting conversion feature doesn't seem to work on the MX version. But it does work with the desktop version.

The MX version doesn't have a ribbon bar, but a radial menu instead. The ribbon bar, on the desktop version, has the options to enter the drawing mode and convert to text. But the radial menu, on the MX version, doesn't seem to have the drawing mode option.

It seems odd OneNote MX doesn't seem to support pen input. I'm obviously missing something.

One caveat: I must use the pen on my Samsung Slate to draw in OneNote (desktop version). A touch type stylus won't work. This will limit the response to those on this forum who are using real tablets...

I've answered part of my question. OneNote MX is NOT as full featured as its desktop counterpart. It seems that the MX version has an ink mode, but not writing to text conversion. There have been a number of raving reviews of OneNote MX. But IMHO opinion, it lacks some features. ALL of the desktop Office 2013 apps have a touch mode option, though I haven't explored it yet.

I'd still like to hear from anyone who has tried OneNote MX, especially those with a true touch device.
