16 bit ms-dos software problem

Hi,

I have been running ms-dos 16 bit programs for years in my windows 8.1 32 operating system. Three days ago they all stop working including the ms-dos Text Editor, edit.com which is a part of windows.

I also run these programs on windows 7 32bit and windows 10 32bit. So far they seem to be fine.

Has anyone come across this problem?

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. What happens when you try and run ie error message and how do you run them? Have you tried right click on the file and setting it compatable with an old o/s?
