I was looking in Disk Management and It is showing a G: and it is showing it as CD-ROM 1, DVD, 3.23GB. It says it is nst-26-9267.86_. I don't know where it came from or how it got there. Should I format the G: drive?

Have you checked if there is a disk in the CD/DVD player in your computer ;)

There is only one other way I know of to "show" a CD or DVD and that is to mount an ISO Image file could this be a possibility in your case?

Right click on the Entry for G: in File Explorer and see if there is an "eject" entry - If so then Ejecting should remove the entry. The purpose of the ability to Mount .ISO files was added to Win 8.1 so that you could access the content of these CD/DVD Images without the need to Burn a disc. THere are also some 3rd party tools that can do this.

How to Mount or Burn ISO Files in Windows 8 and Windows 10

That did the trick. The G DVD rom is gone. Is the only way this could have gotten mounted is if there had been a disk in the drive at some time?

No you should find an file on your HDD that is nst-26-9267.86_.ISO or something very similar this would be a special and exact copy of a CD or DVD - if you right click on the file (perhaps to Identify it ) the Mount option is at or near the top of the list of options and could be clicked accidentally which would give the result you described ... I do not no of a way to do this programmatically but it may be possible which could give the result without any user input

I did have nst-26-9267.86_ in my downloads and it wasn't showing the .iso. I think when I downloaded it i may have double clicked on it, thinking it was a program install. I don't remember anything asking to mount it though. Thank you so much for the help.
