I just installed a new Samsung 850 EVO Pro with Samsung Magician 5.0.0 in my Windows 8.1 laptop and I can't seem to stop the Magician from launching all the time. Clicking "Remove On startup" on the service tray icon does no good since it reappears on the next bootup.
I looked in msconfig and didn't see an entry for it under either the services tab or the startup tab. It's also not in my Startup folder in the Start menu. Nor do I see it in services.msc as a service running.
I'm stumped as to how to disable it. Google search only tell me that it was once able to be turned off in msconfig with older versions, but no more.
I don't want to have to uninstall it since I periodically want to run benchmarks using it, but I don't want it running all the time in the background, either.
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks
