How's it going guys. So I've been dealing with this issue for a while. I'm on win 8.1 x64. Some programs when I run them, no window is shown. They show in the task manager and that's it. I have to force close them to close. I've tried quite a few things, malwarebytes, defender, sfc /scannow. I've tried killing applications one at a time and attempt to run between each. They will run correctly in safe mode. The applications I'm having trouble with specifically that I've noticed are msconfig, open broadcaster, riva tuner statistics server. I'm not sure what these share as a commonality, wish I knew as it would help me narrow down what the issue is. I really do not want to format or refresh. In the past I've changed some of the environmental variables for the temp location as well as for python 2.7. I changed the temp back to default location, restart, just to check and same issue so I'm really at a loss here.
