Google Search stopped working

Google Search has stopped working on my desktop, even though other Google services (like News) work fine, and other computers using same internet connection have no trouble with Search.
After I rebooted my computer, the Search service functioned ONCE. The second time I tried to use Search, it was unresponsive again. Would appreciate any suggestions.

clear data/cache for google search and try again

"compatibility view" seems to solve the problem

Thanks, James903. I added Google to the list of programs to open in "compatibility view" and that seems to have done the trick. But I'm waiting a few more days before declaring the problem "solved." If difficulties reappear I'll try your suggestion.

There was an issue at Google's end that broke IE and Edge searches, this was fixed just under 2 days ago.

Try it on another browser and it may work again. Sometimes it gets stuck on my Chorme browser but then it works on FireFox.

The same thing happened to me recently, try to delete your browsing history, cached data and cookies.
