While looking into reasons Store apps download but never install, I went over to my C:\Users\MeMeMe\AppData\Local\Packages folder to confirm that all the apps that I uninstalled had their folders there removed as well.

They were gone - yay.

But...

There was a folder there called tifilefetcher.exe and no search online has found anything like that.

There IS a valid executable under winsxs named TiFileFetcher.exe which online search results all talk about, but there were no hits on a folder named as noted.

Anyone seen this? Is it just a temp folder used by TrustedInstaller?

Any clue?

It’s a system and hidden file. The TiFileFetcher.exe process is safe and disabling it can be dangerous, because programs on your computer need it to work correctly.

The TiFileFetcher.exe process is safe

True, however the original post is not about that process, it is about a folder called tifilefetcher.exe located where the OP says it is located - there are no online hits for such a thing.

I believe it is a strangely-named temporary folder used by TiFileFetcher.exe but the OP is trying to find that out.
