After many years of using Acronis True Image I'm ditching it as I'm fed up with the scheduler2 problem. I use Win 8.1 Home so I don't have GPEDIT so cannot apply the patch given elsewhere.
Anyway, I just managed to restore an image of my C:\ system drive, but what I don't like is the way Macrium uses the image ID to identify each image so I can identify each partition and image, rather than a long alpha-numeric id. I'm used to being able to name the images how I want them. Is it possible to do this with Reflect?
I confess I felt a bit 'wound up' when I told it to start the recovery as I have had a recovery failure before (with Acronis) and it took a long time to get my system back! At my age I don't need that to happen again.
I also tried Ocster, Aomei Backupper and Easeus Todo and they all gave me the heebie jeebies trying to work out how to do the recovery of an image. I tried Paragon a while ago and that also seemed difficult (for me). It would be nice if I can use my own naming system with Reflect, All these programs seemed to be overly technical in their interface while I always found Acronis easy to understand.
