I saw this while updating the GitHub application and I was wondering if this was some sort of official update library or something similar you can use for your own program?

The problem is that you have provided no screenshot, no link, no reference to anything. We have no way of knowing what you are referring to.

You screenshot refers to GitHub being updated - is that what you are asking about? If so, GitHub info is available here. To make a go/no-go decision, you need to evaluate whether you are doing anything open-source related or are part of any MOOC which requires you to work with GiitHub etc...

Sigh. In the screenshot that I have provided you can see GitHub being updated. I want to know what update component/program/whatever the GitHub program is using as stated by my title. To clarify, I have seen other programs update like this, using the exact same "program" (or whatever you'd like to call it) and I'm wondering which "program" it is.

Cliff S you're right, that's what I'm looking for. I'm not asking what GitHub is or why it's updating or anything similar.

I'm asking exactly what you said, Cliff S.
