I decided I was going to do by best to get it done on my own.

I used to be able to play CDs and Videos on my laptop and then I couldn't do it anymore. After several months of not being able to listen to CDs or videos, I decided I had to find info on getting this fixed. I found out that there was a program called Microsoft Media Player. I did a search and found the site for the player. The site stated that the player was installed on my PC. Well, I couldn't find it. Then I found an article telling me how to find it. Dumb me, I should have known to look for it in the Start menu!!! Well, to find it I had to do a search and low and behold it was listed. I clicked on it and it magically appeared:D Then I grabbed one of my favorite CD, inserted it in the slot and it's playing right now using my Harman Karmon speakers. I'm listening to my favorite performer disc, "The Essential Bruce Springsteen" CD.

I just had to tell you that I was determined to do it on my own and not, again bother all of you for help. But, I'm sure I will be asking for help in the near future.;)

You should be proud of yourself. I know from experience how it feels from back in the days of typing a program in BASIC or PASCAL and even DOS and then trying to debug/find the typo to make the thing run. Personal success drives one to learn even more.

PS, It's good you shared, Here in Germany the have a saying: "Joy that is shared, is double the joy"
