No details view in menus when opening files in my cad prog

    As the title says,

When using my CAD program the details view of the folders will not show. I know how to change the views this is not the problem.
This previously worked but after updates it now will not. The information is there as it will sometimes appear after repeated attempts to open files but no consistency as to when the file details will show up.
I'm assuming some code or script has been screwed up.
I can view my files in all views EXCEPT details which is the view form I prefer.

Looking for some help figuring this out. Thanks!!

    Rick

Visual CADD 7, The latest version 7.0.3
The problem started with windows 8 updates not a software update.
