What is Umonitor Task and is it necessary to keep enabled?

There's a item in my Task Scheduler known as "Umonitor Task" that I have kept disabled for a while now, but I have little in the way of knowledge in-regards to its significance in affecting my machines stability and performance in it being enabled, or disabled.

If anyone can tell me what this "Umonitor Task" is and whether or not it should kept disabled, or re-enabled. Then please, share your answers.

    Thank You.

Read that already. I need something with a little more substance than this as I've found no other link to back up the claims made on that one.

I also neglected to mention this, but I've never used a "card reader" on my machine ever. So the "Umonitor Task" service being on my Task Scheduler list can't be because of that.

I've added task manager to my scheduled tasks at logon. Everywhere I google, they say to put the /min or -minimized arguments in it to launch it minimized, except neither option works for me. Task Manager launches, but just sits there on my desktop. Is there a new argument for minimized in...
Solved IIS Enabled in Software and Apps
I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. I noticed in C:\Users that there was a folder named DefaultAppPool. It was created around the time I installed Windows 8.1. With further research I found out it was related to IIS. I looked at the enabled Windows features and found that part of IIS was enabled...
Superfetch enabled on my SSD? in Performance & Maintenance
Windows 8/8.1 is supposed to have superfetch disabled automatically when it recognizes a SSD, but mine is enabled. I have a SSD but also a secondary HDD that is accelerated with a 25 mSATA SSD via Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I'm assuming since the second HDD is enhanced with a SSD then there...
