Editing words to bold, become also Italics

Hi,

I don't know if anyone here had the same problem as me, but when using Microsoft Office, a particular word document, whenever I choose a sentence to make it bold, it becomes automatically bold+italics. However, the italics sign is not clicked and therefore I cannot remove the Italics.

Any help on how I can solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.
