Hello, I have a problem with the Windows 8 Apps.
When I try to open Windows Store, Photo Viewer, Video Player, Music Player, Games App , OneDrive, Sports, News, Mail, Calendar, People, Weather , Messaging, Finance, they're stuck at the loading screen. Some are just white, some are black, and some are like minimized in the corner and loading when I try to open them.

By the way I have Windows 8 Pro.
If anyone could help me, please reply to this thread :)

Let it run through even if it looks like it's frozen, it can take a while depending on your hardware.

The way it works is you have to reboot, then try running it again. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.
Also:
Acorrupted Store cache is one of the more likely candidates, forinstance, but fortunately Microsoft has provided a tool to help.Press Win+R, type wsreset and press Enter, and the Store cache willbe cleaned for you.

I did the command 5-6 times, and rebooted between each time and the apps still don't open.
I tried the "wsreset" but it doesn't work since my Store doesn't open at all, it's stuck at the loading screen.
Any other suggestions?

I don't have any other ideas, maybe someone else does.
I actually thought the windows store reset should have taken care of stores problem, then you could have resync'd your licenses in it:huh:. Sorry it didn't work.

Alright guys, I fixed it.
From what I have read on other forums I understood that other people too have my problem, and it's probably because of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I remember I installed it 2-3 weeks ago, and when I did my whole PC was running slower.
So the solution is a Windows Refresh (http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2293-refresh-windows-8-a.html). Even tho I had to reinstall my drivers and reinstall every game and app I had downloaded from the internet, I think it was still worth it :D
So I would suggest if any other user has the same problem as me, you ask him first if he has previously had Kaspersky as his Anti-Virus or as his primary one. If yes then to remove Kaspersky and do a Windows Refresh.
Why a Windows Refresh? - Because no other tool / thing works.
Thank you for trying to help ;)
P.S: I gave you guys reputation :D

Hi Yustic,

I've kaspersky installed. No problem with Store yet. Do you happen to know why it causes the issue from what you've read elsewhere or could you post the links to that. It'll be helpful.

Also did you try the troubleshooting steps listed in the tutorial posted by Brink before a Refresh, and see if that resolved it?

Thank you.

Hey Visruth,
I have no idea why it does, but for many people it did I guess
I mainly read it on Microsoft forums
All Win 8 Apps including store are stuck at startup screen - Microsoft Community - at the bottom of the thread (the last guy)
Windows 8 apps won't load, stuck on loading screen - Microsoft Community
And yes I did try the troubleshooting steps, but they didn't work, so that's why I did a refresh.
