DirectX corrupt file.

HI, new poster here and not very handy with computers.

I had to do a refresh on my win8.1 that has wiped out all my user installed programs.
As I have re-installed successfully some programs, I am having an issue with one where
when I try to run the setup, I get the following message.

Corrupt File: DirectX_Jun2010.bsf.

I tried to reinstall DirectX by going to Microsoft and downloading DirectX_jun2010.bsf file, and ran the setup. However
I still get the message.

How can I fix this?

Do I need to uninstall directX or prepare my computer in any why before I run this?
