Broken "Open with..."

Hi all,

"Open with" (no submenu) for an unassociated filetype (.epub) isn't working for me. When I choose "Look for another app on this PC" and select the program to open it with, nothing happens. Nothing opens, the association doesn't change, nothing. The option "Use this app for all .X files" is also not there. I tried booting in safe mode, tried the program "Default Programs Editor", with no luck. Any clues?

@RolandJS, Not sure I understand. It's a .epub file (but the same problem happens with any unassociated file type). It doesn't matter where the file is from.

Tweaking.com's Windows Repair (All in One), default checkmarks, adding #s 26 & 27 might fix it right up. I'm assuming this problem is fairly new.
