Hi,

I am hoping someone can please help with the following :

I have a program folder which resides in the "c" drive folder and is used on a work PC and home PC. At the moment I backup the folder from one machine and restore it on the other machine(and visa-versa) using a flash drive .

I have just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and wondered if there was a way to configure something in OneDrive to sync between the two PC's instead. My work PC runs Win 7 Professional if that makes any difference.

I hope this makes sense and I look forward to hearing from fellow members

Why don't you instead put all the files on Onedrive itself, and then you'll never have to worry about syncing at all... ?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The folder is actually a program folder but instead of being within programs or programs(86), the default install path is C drive which is where I cut and paste it from one PC to another. The program is used nearly everyday for work both from a work PC and home PC so needs frequently backing up and restoring to ensure whichever PC is using the program is actually using the latest version.

I am not sure that having the folder on OneDrive will do the trick unless both PC's can somehow point to the OneDrive folder location.

Besides using a service like dropbox or onedrive, I do not believe you can do what you are attempting to do. Remote desktop would be just as difficult, if not more, than onedrive, etc.

Others may have ideas, but I have not come across something that would do this. :(
