I have a client running windows 8.1 on a dell laptop, with touch. This started about 2 weeks ago. When she tries to open any of the apps you see a flash and nothing opens. This is for all apps including the store.
When she reboots the machine, the apps open. This is a random thing and sometimes this works and sometimes she has to shut down the laptop to get it to work. I did a sfc/scannow- showed noting, and did the microsoft refresh apps fixit and it worked for a while then started happening again. Other than trying to make a new account which is a royal pain in the butt because her only email address is her live account (this would mean i would need to set up another live account) I do not know if this would even fix it. and i do not want to reinstall windows, it did not come with a windows disk.
Any suggestions to try?
