How to run a single software as two different applications

    Hello,
I am using an online trading software that requires a username and a password. I want to run this software as two independent applications running simultaneously and independently (similar to the feature "enable multiple profiles for this app" offered by the titanium backup app in android.). The reason behind this is that I have 2 accounts and for some purpose I want to acess them together without having to log out of first and logging into the other.

There may be many variables, depending on the application, but I'm thinking the OP may be able to open one instance in one browser and another instance in another browser.
    (Just thinkin!)

Depending on how the program was written. Some program will check if an instance of the program is already run and will not allow a second instance. However, it's worth to try:
    1. Create another User Account
    2. run the program as normal. (1st instance)
    3. Hold SHIFT key and right click on the program again. A popup will have an entry: Run as different user, select it and enter the credential. (2nd instance)
    4. If step 3 is working then you can create a shortcut and use: Runas /user:XXX c:\full Path of the program\program.exe then pin it to taskbar/startmenu

NOTE: XXX is the new user account name.

    One more query.
Is this method applicable to win XP too?

I have not used or installed XP since Vista first came out so I don't know. Maybe somebody with XP can verify this or it does not hurt to try yourself.

I did as you said. It showed me this error. I ran it as a new new user. This (the same) error is shown when I run this application normally (without running it as a new user) Please help

I don't think there is anything you can do.

Having multiple instances of an application running has serious implications for some applications. Many developers choose not to deal with these issues and take active measures to prevent the situation from occurring. It seems clear from the error message that multiple instances are not supported. This is quite common.

If you were to somehow force a second instance to run the results would be unpredictable, but most likely unpleasant.

All I can suggest is to check the applications preferences to see if there is an option to allow multiple instances. But I doubt such an option exists.

I am not surprised that it did not work. Another way I could think of is to create a Virtual Machine and run one instance in VM and the other in the host machine.
