Solved Torrents are not downloading

My torrent downloads are not working at all since recently. I tried with uTorrent too. But it's also stuck in "Connecting to peers". Please help me fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

Just been reading about this issue this morning (private torrent site so cant give link) and it looks like one of the latest MS security updates has messed it up
There seems to be 2 possible solutions

Remove the program from the firewall and then re add it back with access
or
if its uTorrrent then it might need a re install to allow it through the firewall

but it seems firewall related, so check there and see what it says for the program

I use ESET and I removed and added it back. Still not working. BTW I've turned off Windows updates. So it can't be an update problem.

don't know anything about ESET, but what does it say in its firewall for the torrent software

have you tried removing the rule that allows the torrent software through and then re added it back in the firewall

It's set to allow communication with qbittorrent. I removed the software and and rules and reinstalled it. Still no success.

not really sure what else to check, if nothing else has changed on your setup

hopefully someone else will come along with some suggestions soon
