Hi folks,
I am looking for a way to pin / widget / tile links to live news feeds something like CNN would post.
I used to be able to use the sidebar in earlier versions of windows. But since the release of 8.1.. sidebar was not included. I know that there are add-on sidebars useable
Is there anyway to have a live video link on the desktop that stays active?

I have the shortcuts on my desktop already. What I am looking for would be a way to put the live video streams in a "rainmeter" (w/o using rainmeter). Windows 7 used to use sidebar that would allow video feeds, but 8.1 has since removed it.
