Solved Error Checking Microsoft Apps on 2 PCs!

I just tried checking my Metro Apps on my Dell Laptop (Windows 8.1) and desktop PC (Windows 8). I get the error "We're having some problems getting the list of apps you own" when I select My Apps in the Windows Store on both PCs. I can see the account details OK in the Store. It's very odd to have the same problem on 2 PCs. I also get the error 0x80096004 when trying to install a new app. Is there currently a problem with the Microsoft Store? If not, what might be wrong?

I thought there had to be a common cause. I found turning off Always Scan Encrypted Connections in Kaspersky antivirus now enables the Store Apps to work. But how much more vulnerable is the PC when this Kaspersky feature is turned off?

Kaspersky Support has confirmed there is an incompatibility between Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) and the Windows Store when Always Scan Encrypted Connections is selected. The problem is experienced in KIS 2014 and KIS 2015.

Quote - This is a known issue and our developers are working to fix this, with a new patch that will be released in the near future. To temporarily solve the issue, when working with Windows Store, please disable "Always Scan Encrypted Connections" since there is no way of configuring it.
