Solved Metro Apps stop working one by one

Hey guys,

I'm really in trouble these days. some days ago i installed few games from app store on my Vaio laptop with windows 8.1 update and all my problems started.

First, i faced excessive memory usage by RuntimeBroker.exe , after wasting some hour searching around, foudn there is only one solution and thats removing all newly installed apps until the problem goes away x_X

So i started to remove, 1 by 1 until the last time one :| and problem still existed, so i made a terrible decision; suffering the problem and do not reinstall windows  .

After few days and more and facing more problems when i ran a metro app, i changed my mind and uninstalled all metro apps to reinstall them and here we go :cry:

Now Metro apps are stop working 1 by 1 every day, getting unknown error messages and some apps like Viber, weather and skype not connecting to internet while others like the weather network, line, vaio apps and some other are working fine.

I searched again, and followed any solutions i could find, system restore, reinstalling apps, resetting network settings, changing network profile to private, resetting store settings, changing to microsoft account, using fiddler proxy, vpn connections, transparent proxies to bypass any ISP probs; but none of them helped me x_X :sleepy:

The only solution that now i have, seems to be reinstalling windows (refresh or reset).

Any other solution will be welcomed as reinstalling windows will waste me few days to have all my software back installed x_X

just to keep thread update,

I started uninstalling my software, and 1 problem solved by uninstalling Comodo Firewall

donno why, but i had tried clean boot, disabling comodo and even closing its services, but it seems there is sth wrong with Comodo itself that had blocked Viber and few other metro apps

but having trouble with pre-installed apps by Vaio, will update thread as soon as i got it solved

Completely remove the account and reconfigure the account with same email address. That is how I fixed my issue.

All apps are working fine now.

Found sth,
i think finally solved my problem

donno the reason, but for some unknown one (for me), firewall is blocking microsoft WWA host and thats why metro apps are not working correctly.

this is what i did:
whitelisted wwahost.exe as an allowed application to be free to communicate with network in windows firewall and my comodo firewall. now all metro apps are working perfectly.

Hope this help others in same situation too ;)

1 more thing, tested on public network or even metered connection, it is still working fine.

just few pre-installed vaio apps need to be reinstalled, which is not a big problem :)

found sth else about tiles,

explorer needs to access 1 of Microsoft servers in order for tiles to work, i tried few times and found if explorer gets blocked, tiles will not update, in last few days, i found these IPs:

82.178.158.34
82.178.158.42
157.56.122.48
131.253.61.84

so it seems, Microsoft does something on own serves and then allows tiles to update :sarc:

will keep digging to find more ;)
