Hi, anyone got coreavc installed and working on windows 8?
It crash when i try to register it...

Media Player Classic Home Cinema offloads the decoding to the gpu. Good stuff and free.

PowerDVD does so as well.

I had the same problem. Windows Media Player will open .mkv videos after unsatisfactory installation but they are flipped horizontally (mirrored and upside-down).

I also tried hand-registering CoreAVCDecoder64.ax with 64-bit regsvr32.exe but Windows Registration Service still crashes (appcompat issue).

I also tried just installing the Haali Media splitter with unimproved results.
