It was not an option in the boot menu.
I will have to use the VMware Player to use it.

    Had 2 options--uefi & boot manager.
Maybe it was under boot manager.
    I'll look.

    Rebooted.
    Chose "boot manager".
    Chose "boot logging".
    Chose "use a device".

    The only option was "uefi".
The usb drive was not listed.

    That's ok.
I can still use Windows 10.

Has anyone else managed to install it on a usb drive ?

Haven't tried yet, good thing no UEFI for me. Im running 10 in VM and on a HDD too and both work OK. Do you have access to some computer without UEFI to try booting on ?

    No.
    1 computer.

I think what I have is a VMware thing.
I don't think it is meant to boot from.
Just for use with VMware Player.

    edit--- Download VMware Player 6.0.3 - FileHippo.com
