All was working fine until this morning. I went to view some photos using this app and got the following message (attached) I went to the store but there are no updates available. I even uninstalled the app and re-installed it and get the same message when trying to use it. Anyone have any ideas why?

Microsoft has to be kidding us. Metro apps, denying classic Start menu, not letting Metro be disabled and now it is shown that apps have to be "up to date" to even run at all?

They can keep this Windows 8 and this is coming from someone that is decent with a pc. Imagine what it is like for "average" person.

I agree GMan … I find it incredulous that I cannot use this app because it "is not up to date" and even more incredulous that apparently no update is actually available anyway. I concur with your "geez!!!!!"

Agree. Metro UI is a mess. Metro on my computer somehow has lost the ability to see photo files, i.e. jpg, bmp, etc. They work fine with desktop apps. Wish I could just turn off or delete Metro.

That one and all other desktop photo apps work fine. It is the Metro UI apps that are screwed up. I decided to avoid Metro UI altogether, the apps pretty much suck.
