Apart from using Hostsman how can Opencandy be blocked?

I'm not using the lists which are available for Hostsman I've just set it up to block Opencandy, but have not had time to test it yet to see if it works.

I'm just wondering if there are any other simple ways to block Opencandy from installing.

I use Peerblock, would it be possible to block Opencandy using this program?

Why can't the lists which are available for Hostsman and Peerblock not block Opencandy as default?

Dont download anything containing it!

AVG detects in before it can download and spybot can clear it, as for blocking it; see line 1
