I purchased this laptop about a week ago off of Amazon. Link: Amazon.com : ASUS 15.6" HD Core i3 Laptop, 6GB RAM & 500GB Hard Drive : Computers & Accessories

Today, in an attempt to fix a problem I was having, I uninstalled a program. Not exactly sure what it was called, but I think it had Qualsoft in the name. It came with the laptop. After I removed it, it was no longer able to connect to the web. It didn't even list the available networks. After, I hit restart. There were some updates scheduled to run after the next restart, and they failed. The screen has been stuck on a message for a couple hours that says
"Failure configuring Windows features
Reverting changes
Do not turn off your computer."

Will edit for updates after it manages to restart.

Edit: once it restarts, it goes right back to attempting to update, and back to the green Failure screen. Is it a bad idea to turn off the computer?

I think you've uninstalled the Qualcomm software which is for internet connection. Windows updates requires internet connection to download the updates, that's why the updates failed.

Thank you, that was pretty simple lol. It was actually Qualcomm Atheros and on more google searches, it seems like an easy fix so I should be fine now.

Hi 'asus', welcome to Windows EightForums! :)

Sounds like LAN Driver.
You have to find a way to download it from here:

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download D550CA

and transfer it to the machine and install it manually.
Check the website out and bookmark it for future references.
